AMELIA RISING:
Amelia Rising Sexual Violence Support Centre provides free, completely confidential support for people 12 years of age and older who have experienced sexual or gender-based violence.
COMMUNITY COUNSELLING CENTER OF NIPISSING:
A community-based assessment, referral, youth outpatient counselling and case management service that assists individuals in determining the extent to which they may have an alcohol and/or drug problem. Treatment plans are developed. Assessment and referral, as well as problem gambling assessment and counselling, are provided for Indigenous peoples. This program provides sexual assault services to women over the age of 16. The program delivers non-crisis services to women who have been historically abused or abused by a partner in a relationship.
CRISIS CENTRE NORTH BAY:
Assists individuals in personal crisis by providing them with temporary room and board, care, rehabilitation and other necessary services through inter-relationship with the staff while in residence and assists individuals in re-establishing themselves in the community * offers residential and non-residential programs.
DISTRICT OF NIPISSING SOCIAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION BOARD (NORTH BAY):
Information about employment and training services offered in Ontario * information available for apprentices, employees, employers and job seekers * live chat online.
Social assistance program that provides employment assistance and financial support for basic needs.
EMPLOYMENT ONTARIO:
Crisis intervention telephone support for Indigenous people * culturally competent * available daily 24 hours, seven days a week * recommendations to follow-up services.
FIRST NATIONS AND INUIT HOPE FOR WELLNESS HELPLINE:
FOOD BANK:
OUR MISSION – To work within our community to gather and distribute nutritious food to those in need, and to contribute to public awareness of the conditions that lead to food insecurity.
THE GATHERING PLACE:
Provides a drop-in centre and hot meals in a warm environment to people in need * free haircuts and styling once a month.
GOOD DOCTORS:
Walk-in clinics * utilizes the latest telemedicine technology to deliver interactive healthcare.
HEALTH CARE CONNECT:
Refers people who do not have a doctor to a family health care provider who may be accepting new patients * once registered, program participants are assigned to a care connector employed by the Home and Community Care * care connectors work with family doctors and nurse practitioners who are accepting new patients.
HORIZON WOMEN'S CENTER:
Residential services offered to women and their children who require emergency housing as a result of violence and crisis in their lives.
LANDLORD AND TENANT BOARD:
Independent body established to resolve disputes between residential landlords and tenants through mediation or adjudication * provides information concerning tenant and landlord rights and obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act * processes applications to determine and regulate justified rent increases and jurisdiction for both landlords and tenants * resolution of co-op eviction applications.
LITERACY NIPISSING:
Provides literacy and basic skills training, including numeracy, digital, communication and interpersonal skills * helps learners prepare for employment, apprenticeship, secondary-school credit, post-secondary education and greater independence.
LOW INCOME PEOPLE INVOLVEMENT OF NIPISSING:
Support to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
MONARCH RECOVERY SERVICES:
The addiction services for this organization include: 35-day residential treatment for women 16 years and older; residential support services level 2 for women 18 years and older; initial assessment; continuing care (community treatment) for women completing treatment; one-week relapse prevention program; ECD outreach program; Native aftercare program, men's and women's addiction supportive housing, an 18 bed men's recovery home and a 5 bed men's transition home.

NIPISSING CRISIS INTERVENTION SERVICES:
The Crisis Intervention Program provides the following services to individuals in crisis: Crisis assessments are provided at both the Emergency Department and at our community site. Crisis also operates a 24/7 crisis telephone line. Provide short term Crisis support and follow up at our community site. Facilitate community referrals as required which help connect clients to appropriate agencies and services.
MULTICULTURAL CENTRE:
Serves the settlement needs of newcomers to Canada.
